Virtual Events

As we transition to hosting more W. P. Carey events virtually, use these resources to guide your event strategy and execution. Educational Resources

  • Flipgrid - Free resource for recording and sharing short videos

  • Playposits - Interactive video portal with option to embed questions or quizzes into material; subscription required

  • Movavi - Screencasting software that allows user to record their computer activity with voiceover; free and subscription versions

  • Kahoot - Interactive trivia and quiz software that can host up to 2,000 “players”; free

  • Modalis - Free ASU resource for recording and hosting video lectures


Collaborative Resources

  • Zoom Webinars - While traditional Zoom meetings are great for smaller gatherings, Zoom webinars are helpful for panel discussions or large-scale events where you want more control over the audience; free ASU resource

  • Mentimeter - Presentation engagement tool that allows you to embed polls, quizzes, and trivia; free and subscription versions available. If you have questions about how a subscription may enhance your event, contact Melanie Butters.
  • Animoto - Video and photo editing software with templates that can be easily integrated into presentations; free and subscription versions — for subscription information contact Tech Services

  • Padlet - Padlet is an application to create an online bulletin board that you can use to display information for any topic. You can add images, links, videos, columns for sorting or refining organization, and more.

  • Kudoboard - Kudoboard is an online tool to gather a group and send appreciation. It's like a greeting card everyone can sign, but online.


Social Media

  • Facebook Live - Live video streaming software with interactive chat and reactions functions; free for all Facebook users

  • Periscope - Similar to Facebook live, but can reach those without social media accounts; free
