Pitchfork Certification Series

The ASU Office of Human Resources has connected with the Sun Devil Rewards loyalty program. You can now enhance your professional development while building up “Pitchforks” in the ASU Sun Devil Rewards app! 

Receive 25 Pitchforks at an LWD workshop, by, first, downloading the app to your mobile device using Apple App Store or GooglePlay before you come to a workshop. Then, upon completion of the workshop, you can 'check in' on the app on your mobile device and the Pitchforks will be added to your Sun Devil Rewards account, putting you closer to great rewards you can find in the Sun Devil Rewards catalog!

The Office of Human Resources Training & Professional Development offers many workshops for faculty and staff. Check out what is currently being offered. Every staff member is eligible for at least 16 hours of professional development training each year.

  • Development U - includes up-to-date resources that will help you manage your career and grow professionally including:

    • A calendar of professional development opportunties
    • Online courses
    • Resources available for independent learning (webinars, articles, repositories of information, books)

Topics include:
ASU Career, Conversational Intelligence, Self-Awareness, Leadership Development, Performance Management; Relationship Management

You can create the opportunities to collaborate on ideas and actions.

University Career Women - focus on the personal and professional development issues, interests, and needs of women at ASU.

University Technology Office (UTO)  - access the technical training schedule through the Service Center - Tools and Resources - learn new technology or brush up your current knowledge.

Athletics Compliance - The rules governing intercollegiate athletics are institutional in nature, and, therefore, relate to the manner in which all ASU faculty and staff members interact with Sun Devil student-athletes and prospective student-athletes. Here's a tip sheet and one-and-a-half minute video , created by Sun Devil Athletics, ASU's Athletics Compliance Office, with information on the rules that are most likely to apply to staff and faculty and the interactions you have with ASU student-athletes and prospects.
